Fall
Fall in WNY offers the unique opportunity to target 30" browns and steelhead as well as 30lb kings. Lake Ontario has the highest concentration of trophy brown trout on the planet. We target these brutes using floating beads jigs and skein using both centerpin and spinning tackle and we will occasionally break out the hardware rods!
Winter
After thanksgiving we tend to shift our focus to Lake Erie tributaries which often have higher water levels and tons of fish during the winter. Fishing during these months can be tough but also will lead to some of the most scenic pictures and most rewarding days on the water.
When we have Mother Nature on our sides western New York can make for some of the best hard water fishing around. We tend to target perch, walleye, pike, and trout through the ice.
Spring
As the weather warms and the snow melts thousands of both steelhead and smallmouth bass will run up our creeks to spawn leading to some of the most incredible fishing action the Great Lakes has to offer. We target these fish at the creek mouths and 100 fish days are not unheard of.
